The Addis Volunteer Fire Department Mardi Gras Parade is held on Sunday, two weeks before Mardi Gras in Addis. The Krewe of Good Friends Parade is held the Sunday before Mardi Gras in Port Allen.Kite Fest Louisiane'
4th Fest
The best view anywhere in the Baton Rouge area for 4th. of July fireworks on the Mississippi River. Held July 4th in downtown Port Allen at the Riverfront on the Mississippi River Levee. The fun starts anually at 4:00 pm and ends at 10:30 pm. Free to the public and includes face painting, magicians, clowns and space walks for the children. Beverage & food vendors line the levee for all to enjoy. Live entertainment with several local bands allow the crowds plenty of dance music to enjoy before and after the spectacular fireworks show on the river. Click on file below for more information.
Sugar Fest
Sugar Fest is the celebration of sugar's importance in West Baton Rouge Parish. Sugar Fest was voted one of the Top 20 events in the Southeast. It includes living history demonstrations, food and mule-driven grinding, music, a cake walk and other activies related to Sugar Plantation Life as it was years ago. Visit the six historic sugar plantation structures including 1830's planter's big house, slave cabin, 1850's share croppers cabin, shotgun house and more. The Museum holds a 22 foot working model of a sugar mill and many interactive Louisiana history exhibits. On Saturday cooks from all over the South compete for top Barbeque honors at this IBCA State Championship BBQ. Teams compete for $6600 in prize money, awards, trophies and certificates. BBQ plates are sold by the Dream Day foundation to benefit St. Jude Children's Hospital. BBQ entry fee is $150.00 (4 categories) with a chance of winning as much as $2000.00. Cash prizes up to 8th place in each category. Want to be a judge and eat some great BBQ at the same time. Contact the WBRCVB to volunteer. On Sunday come and enjoy great 50's, 60's & 70's music, hula hoop, jitterbug and twist contests. Lil Bayou Band on stage from noon till 2:30 pm then Na Na Sha will be performing from 3-6 pm. Antique car show and Poker Fun Run round out this two day event. This fun event is held on the grounds of the West Baton Rouge Tourist Information & Conference Center.
Enjoy music all day both days. Come and spend the weekend with us and enjoy great food, great fun and great music. The fun starts at noon and ends at 6:00 p.m. each day.

This parade honors all veterans past and present for their service.
Held every year the Sunday before Veterans Day in November. Citizens, businesses and organizations pay tribute to all sevicemen and woman for their dedication to this nation. All veterans can participate on the floats free of charge. Come out and join the crowds and show your support for these brave men and women. There is a special presentation at the end of the parade held at the West Baton Rouge Court House Veterans Memorial wall.

This drive through display is open to the public from December 1st - December 24th.
Open every night except Monday and Tuesday. For just $1.00 per person drive through the grounds of the West Baton Rouge Conference Center and view this beautiful displays of lights.
On Friday and Saturday nights come inside to enjoy special music, vendors, crafters, and visit Santa and his elves. Bears, Penquins and dog sleds make a great backdrop for your holiday pictures in the special holiday decorated rooms.
Cuddle up in a blanket next to your friends and loved ones and take a ride through the lights in a mule drawn wagon for a small fee.
On Saturday, Dec. 15th & 22nd there will be a snow patch 6:00 - 8:30 pm, $3.00 per child. Come have some cool fun in the snow!!
