The 2012, 109th United States Bowling Congress Open Championships will be held in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
The 2012 USBC Open Championships will be conducted everyday from February 11, 2012 until July 9 (151 consecutive days), making it the second longest event in the tournament history. This event will mark the tournament's second visit to Baton Rouge.
- 48 professional lanes will be constructed in the River Center in Downtown Baton Rouge.
- The competition runs 7 days a week from 7 am until 3 am.
- A typical USBC member plays on a team consisting of 5 bowlers and stays in the host city an averge of 3/5 days.
- Bowlers compete for an estimated prize fund between $4.5 - $7.5 million dollars.
- Bowlers compete in three events, team, doubles and singles.
- More than 600,ooo games will be bowled during the event with an expected pinfall of more than 100 million.
