Please join us in the West Baton Rouge Museum Whitehead Gallery to view this exhibit This exhibit will feature wax cloths from local community members and other items featuring the prestigious wax cloth. The history of the African wax print is a history paved along colonial trade routes and globalization in the post-colonial era. Though not originally African, these textiles have become ingrained in African culture and society, and loved and identified as their own. This exhibit is on loan from ExhibitsUSA and was curated by Gifty Benson
