THINK YOU HAVE THE BEST BBQ !!! On Saturday cooks from all over the South compete for top Barbeque honors at this BCA State Championship BBQ. Teams compete for $4,950 in prize money, awards, trophies and certificates. BBQ entry fee is $150.00 (3 categories) with a chance of winning as much as $1,500. Cash prizes up to 8th place in each category. Want to be a judge and eat some great BBQ at the same time. Contact the WBRCVB to volunteer. Click on BBQ Entry form for more information or to participate. Cooks can donate brisket or pulled pork to Blue Star Moms and receive $25.00 off your entry fee!
THINK YOU GRILL THE BEST STEAK!!! Then join us on Saturday for the SCA Steak Championship Cook-Off. Teams compete for $2,100 in prize money and trophies. Steak entry fee is $150.00. Cash prizes up to 5th place.
Live music on stage both Saturday and Sunday. Saturday's come out and dance to the sounds of Clifton Brown and The Rusty Bucket Band on stage noon - 4:00 p.m. On Sunday the musical line up begins at 11:00 a.m. with Ryan Foret and The Foret Tradition followed at 2:00 p.m. with the Chee Weez on stage until 5:00 p.m. Antique car show, hula hoop, jitterbug contests and Poker run (See Poker run rules) benefiting Blue Star Moms rounds out this two day event. This fun event is held on the grounds of the West Baton Rouge Tourist Information & Conference Center. Come and spend the weekend with us and enjoy great food, great fun and great music. The fun starts at 11:00 a.m. and ends at 5:30 p.m. each day.
